About Me

My passion is phenomenological design.

I'm a Lebanese designer with a diverse background, interested in applying the design philosophy 'phenomenology' to my proposals. I believe that taking a human-centric approach to design is key to creating spaces that enhance the well-being of those within.

Having worked primarily on London-based commercial projects, I am keen to explore residential design of the Mediterranean.

Inspiration

Haelu

Haelu is designed in response to a transformation of the existing use - a museum for the Regent’s Canal. Taking inspiration from the canal’s history of transporting ice and coal, Haelu utilises the elements of cold and heat to create a sensory experience for users, transforming the traditional idea of a museum into something immersive, experiential and contemporary. The secondary co-existing function includes a wellness retreat utilising the elements of water, heat and cold. This retreat is intends to re-introduce a work/life balance through hydrotherapy, cryotherapy + thermotherapy services.

"In order to design buildings with a sensuous connection to life, one must think in a way that goes far beyond form and construction" - Peter Zumthor
